However, laser cutting acrylic is not simply pressing the button and waiting for processing on the line, want to cut the best results, the following aspects must be noted:

 

1. Material pretreatment: acrylic surface dust and dirt will affect the effect of laser processing, before processing should pay attention to keeping the surface of the material clean, part of the surface of the acrylic will have a layer of protective film, pay attention to the use of laser equipment with film cutting function, if not recommended to remove the protective film and then cut.

 

2. Laser parameter settings: laser parameters, power, speed, and focus are the main parameters of cutting, in general, cutting thicker acrylic requires higher power, but too high a power may lead to the edge of melting, the power is too low may not be able to cut completely. Before we start processing we need to repeat the control test and use the most appropriate laser parameters.

 

3. Processing mode: the processing process on the final results also has a great impact, such as cutting a thicker acrylic plate, if the laser power is not enough, a single cut using a slow high power to carry out, is very likely that the edge of the burnt and so on, at this time you can increase the speed of power reduction, and then repeated processing, which can reduce the heat accumulation of the cut to avoid the edge of the over-burning.

 

4. Equipment maintenance: well-run equipment is the basis for smooth processing, so we have to do a good job of regular maintenance of equipment and Pojet, especially the optical path and mechanical axis part. For example, the focusing mirror long-term exposure to soot, is easy to contaminate, if not cleaned up promptly, it will lead to a light path skewed, affecting the processing effect.
