The fiber laser marking machine with a power of more than 50W feels that the machine has no power after a while. What is the problem?

As the power of lasers increases, there are more and more 50W, 60W, 70W, and even 100, and 200W fiber optic marking machines. Some are used for deep engraving, some for large format, and some for continuous marking. However, there is a phenomenon that many customers report that after this higher power marking machine has been marking for about 10 minutes, it will be obvious that the machine has no strength. If it stops for about 5 minutes and then turns on the machine to mark, it seems to be OK. But after marking for more than 10 minutes, it is no longer OK... In short, it cannot mark continuously for more than 10 minutes. Many customers think that it is a problem with the fiber laser. The light output of the fiber laser decreases after a long time. They find the laser manufacturer to argue, but it is still the same after changing to another one. At this time, it can be judged that it is not a problem with the laser. So where is the problem? This problem has the following possibilities:

The first: The purchased laser does not have a built-in red light, that is, the laser marking machine uses an external red light for preview. However, most equipment manufacturers need to learn that the red light beam combiner is also divided into a K9 material beam combiner and a quartz material beam combiner. For lasers above 50W, if a beam combiner made of K9 material is used, the beam combiner will become hot after being irradiated by a high-power laser for about 10 minutes, which will cause a thermal lens effect, and the laser will be deformed after passing through the beam combiner. At this time, even if a quartz field lens is used, the originally adjusted focal length will change, and the machine will be out of focus. The laser will also be uneven, and some places will feel powerful, while others will feel weak when marking.

The second type: the purchased field mirror is not made of quartz. After all, the field mirror made of K9 material is only between 200-500 yuan, and there are even lower ones on the market. The lowest price of the optical fiber field mirror made of quartz material, using slightly better quartz material, is basically more than 1,000 yuan, and the price of better quartz is basically around 2,000 yuan. This is not a little price difference from the field mirror made of K9 material. Now the competition is fierce, and the profit of a marking machine of the equipment manufacturer is sometimes less than 1,000 yuan. So in the face of interests, can most equipment manufacturers let you use quartz field mirrors? Then you have to consider two points: First, have you, the buyer, bargained hard with the equipment manufacturer's price, and second, is the equipment manufacturer conscientious? It is still difficult to meet these two points at the same time, so usually the equipment manufacturer directly uses the field mirror made of K9 material. The K9 field lens will get hot and deformed due to thermal effects when exposed to a 50-watt laser for more than 10 minutes. Then, the laser transmittance will decrease and the focal length will change. Our intuitive feeling is that after more than 10 minutes, the laser marking machine obviously feels powerless and can't mark. This is caused by the K9 field lens.

The third type: If this machine is a visual matching marking machine and the laser is also more than 50 watts, you need to see if the visual matching lens is made of quartz. For 30 watts or less, the visual matching lens can use L9 material, 50 watts, and 60 watts can use S2 quartz material, and for optical fiber marking machines above 70 watts, the visual matching lens must use S1 quartz material. If it is a visual matching marking machine above 200 watts, it is recommended to use imported S1 quartz material to make this visual matching lens.

The fourth type: is the visual matching marking machine, even if the visual matching lens is quartz, if the machine uses laser transmission and visible light reflection, it may also be out of focus after a while. This is because the visual matching lens uses a structure that reflects visible light. The film layer of the anti-visible light coating is very thick. The thick reflective film layer will reduce the transmittance of the 1064nm laser by about 10%. This 10% of light cannot pass through the visual matching lens, and part of it will be absorbed by the quartz lens. The heat is terrible. Even if the lens is made of quartz, it is estimated that there will be some problems after using it for a long time.

Finally, to summarize: When making a fiber optic marking machine with a power of more than 50 watts, try to pay attention. It is best to use a laser with a built-in red light. If it is a laser without a built-in red light, the beam combiner must be replaced with a quartz material. The field lens must be made of quartz. If it is a visual matching laser marking machine, the visual matching lens must also be made of quartz. The visual matching marking machine should avoid using the laser transmission and visible light reflection mode as much as possible, but use the laser reflection and visible light transmission mode.
